Nicol of Skene are currently carrying out directional drilling works on behalf of SSE at Clyde Windfarm, Abington.
As you can see from the images - it's a large project! The project involves drilling underneath a watercourse in order to connect the turbines to the local substation.
Operations carried out on site include:
- Drilling for Electric ducts
- Drilling for Fiber Optic cables
- Groundworks to create launch pits for the drills
This large project gives the Nicol of Skene Directional Drilling team an excellent opportunity to show exactly what they and their equipment can achieve.
