Due to continued expansion and growth, Nicol of Skene are seeking HDD Operatives to join our team.

This vacancy is a very exciting opportunity for individuals looking to gain knowledge and learn a unique set of specific skills in Horizontal Directional Drilling.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate drilling equipment as required
  • Work alongside others as part of a team
  • Participate in and promote Health and Safety compliance
  • Take responsibility for applicable aspects of our OH&S management system and assist QHSE Systems Manager in improving OH&S performance and promoting compliance throughout the Company
  • Good housekeeping of plant and on site
  • Responsible for servicing and general maintenance of drilling and associated equipment

Requirements

  • CSCS/CPCS certification would be beneficial
  • Experience in Horizontal Directional Drilling is not required but would be beneficial. Equally, experience in the following positions/areas would be advantageous: Excavator Driver, Civil Engineering Chargehand/Operative, Mechanic/Mechanical Knowledge & Skills or those with a background in Agriculture
  • Successful candidates may be required to live in accommodation for short periods of time where necessary in order to work on projects away from home
